What I ended up with was something completely different! I can't even tell you without ruining the entire storyline. I went into Shadowlands thinking it would be a murder mystery. (At least I hope.) Not to mention how awesome this series might end up being. IF this is book one of a new series, then I am certain the next book would answer those lingering questions in my mind. IF that is true, then we are in for some kind of awesome. I heard a rumor that it was the beginning of a series. Now, that being said, let's talk about why I might actually love this book. I don't even think I could re-read this and find answers to those questions. I was left with a looooong list of questions. I felt like I read this whole thing for nothing because the ending did not make sense. I was infuriated when I read the last sentence. Normally, I am a huge fan of plot twists and surprise endings, but this time it did not work for me. So, this review will be a bit different.įirst off, why I did not like the book: the ending. I don't know whether I loved it or hated it.
